K | MANDARIN

In our Mandarin class, we will focus on instilling a love of the languages in a different way. Our classes introduce language through fun play-based activities rather than memorising or working through a book. Our Lead Educator will plan fun activity-based lessons around fun themes to introduce your child to Mandarin or to develop their previous knowledge. They will develop their listening, speaking, writing and reading skills through pre-literacy lessons. Your child will take an active role in the lesson rather than just being a spectator. Our expectation is to use language in a fun way so your child continues to develop knowledge and fluency as they grow in a happy and holistic way.

• Support language and socialising for your child
• Engaging all senses through a range of sensory exploratory activities

EXAMPLE ACTIVITIES:

• Sing the wheels on the bus, begin to create your own bus by sticking parts together and learning the Mandarin vocabulary for each one. Sing the song in Mandarin. 
• Feed “The Hungry Caterpillar” food, learn the names of the food, read the familiar story of “The Hungry Caterpillar” in Mandarin.
